Hello from Tortola of the British Virgin Islands,
If paradise exists, I believe I have found it. This island is beautiful and the people are amazing. I have been here since Monday doing speaking engagements and have enjoyed every minute of my stay. I had the opportunity to share my story at the local college and prison along with meeting city officials and today I will be at the drug treatment center. I am very humbled by being a guest in this country and have been blessed once again to share the Racing for Recovery program with a new audience.
I also met a great guy (John) on the flight down and I am proud to say I have a new friend. One of the many benefits of being on the road so to speak is I get to meet great people and John is one of them. I have enjoyed our converations and he is very insightful on life in general.
I will be leaving later today and look forward to getting home to the family. Next up is the Half Ironman in California (which I am totally not prepared for) then speaking in Chicago and New Hampshire.
As I was running along the road and looking out at the ocean yesterday, I was once again reminded of “With Sobriety Anythig is Possible” There is a good life to live out there and if it is done drug free the sky is the liimit. This is the reality of getting you life together folks it does happen so for those battling addiction I want to say “You can turn your life around and have all you desire”
Take it easy out there.
