Hello

Wednesday, September 27th, 2006

Travel, travel, travel lately. Since I last posted I have raced or spoken in Cancun, Chicago, Scranton and now leaving for Idaho. It is has been a rough go of it lately but all is good.

We have Racing for Recovery Kona 2006 headsweats available for $30.00. They are not listed on the website as we only have 8 left and will not order more of these unique items. If you would like one, please email me at racing4recovery@aol.com for details.

Speaking of the website, we will have a brand new look coming within 2 weeks. As always send us your comments and suggestions to make this site the best it can be.

entries for the Racing for Recovery 5th Annual 5k 10k run/walk are rolling in. If you have not registered for this worthy event, please do so ASAP. This helps with the shirt order. No I am not telling you all what color the shirts are going to be this year. You will have to wait and see lol.

Looking forward to Ironman Hawaii and completing the biggest race in all of triathlon. Melissa and I leave on Oct 14 and I just want to thank my parents for watching the kids while we are gone. This is yet another prime example of what sobriety can offer as there is no way they would have done this if I was still using. Heck if I was still using there would be no kids and certainly no Ironman Hawaii. The message here, “With Sobriety Anything is Possible”.

Special thanks to New York Life for the endless support they have provided us. I am meeting with them for a check presentation regarding the golf outing we did a few weeks ago. Because of their support we can continue sharing our message of hope and recovery.

Ok I am back to work. Enjoy your week.

Virginia Beach

Wednesday, September 6th, 2006

We just returned from Virginia Beach on Monday night after driving 14.5 hrs. I want to thank Ray Johnson, his family, friends and everyone who made this trip an amazing experience both personally and professionally. On a business level we had 21,000 Racing for Recovery placed in the participants of the 1/2 marathon race bags and I did a speaking engagement along with a book signing at the expo. Personally my family had an amazing time on the beach, pool and other activities and it was a nice family holiday for all of us.

Congratulations to everyone who completed the Rock N Roll 1/2 marathon. Special congrats to my wife Melissa who has had to train for this event around my crazy schedule but still posted a time of 1 hr 45 minutes.

Last night I found myself doing a speaking engagement at Cedar Creek Church in Perrysburg, Ohio for about 200 people. This was an amazing experience for me and I appreciate all of the support I and Racing for Recovery received.

The entry forms for the 5th Annual Racing for Recovery 5k, 10k are here and now are being distributed around the area. If you have not already registered, please do so and support this worthy program.

I am gearing up for Ironman Hawaii and as a tune up race will do the Half Ironman in Cancun, Mexico next weekend. The conditions will be similar to Hawaii with heat, heat and more heat.

Enjoy your day.
